BMTT Introduces Location-Aware Golf Score Cards December 2008
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., Dec 30, 2008 -- Book My Tee Times (BMTT), LLC., a leading global Internet golf company, today announced the beta of their latest BMTT Mobile application. Featured in this release is the first live Geo Score Card system in golf history. BMTT Mobile is built on the XG Platform and specifically designed to make it easier for golfers to play their favorite and local courses in addition to tracking their game throughout the season.

History
The idea originated around 2000 when I was golfing with some friends at Bull Run in Virginia. We rounded the front nine and were on our way to the 10th tee. I was calculating my score while driving our golf cart at the same time. We came upon a fork in the road and with no signs to guide us I took a left. We kept driving but were so lost that even the GPS enabled cart had no idea where we were.
I'll be the first to admit that I'm geographically challenged, and being this lost wasn't out of the ordinary. As we backtracked, it occurred to me that my mobile device should have been keeping score and none of this would have happened. I began dreaming of an location aware mobile score keeper. Remember, this was nearly 10 years ago and affordable GPS technology was not widely available for mobile devices. For years I continued to dream and when mobile technology finally caught up, BMTT Mobile was introduced.
